Assessment Philosophy

Our assessment framework emphasizes growth, understanding, and reflection, in alignment with the principles of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

We believe assessment is an ongoing process that informs teaching and supports student learning. Students are evaluated through a balanced combination of formative and summative assessments, designed to:

  • Guide students in setting personal learning goals
  • Provide meaningful feedback to support progress
  • Celebrate effort, creativity, and conceptual understanding
  • Foster self-reflection and ownership of learning
  • Assessment is integrated into the learning process and focuses on developing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
